YAHWEH, THE GOD OF ISRAEL, IS WITH US!

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins...”
( Isaiah 58: 1)

A Sure Sign of Madness

A Sure Sign of Madness

1. Introduction

Anyone with an ounce of discernment can tell that our world is losing it. Sin has its consequences; and it’s clear to many now that we are beginning to reap what we have sown.The reults are in!
Galatians 6: 7: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Oh sure, there have always been liars, thieves, con men, murderers, drunkenness, debauchery, lasciviousness, perversion, profanity, blasphemy, violence and cruelty; but have you ever seen depravity so widely accepted in Canada? And, what a passion and pride we have for it now!

2. Brazen Sin

Brazen sin, as the Bible defines it, has become our cultural standard – the rule rather than the exception. That’s what brought fire and brimstone raining down on Sodom and Gomorrah! And we act as if that tragic story from (Genesis 19) was just a fable – that the Lord would never actually bring judgment to the fruited plain. The Bible tells us that God is going to punish blatant sinners just as He did in days gone by. He didn't spare evil angels for cohabiting with human females. He didn't spare mankind in the days of Noah. He didn't spare Sodom in the days of Lot. In fact He burned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes. So it is foolish beyond imagination to suppose that God has somehow changed and will react differently towards the sins of this generation.

Genesis 19: 23: 23: The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24: Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
25: And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26: But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
27: And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
28: And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29: And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

Isaiah 3: 9: The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not.”

The Apostle Peter says the same thing.
2 Peter 2: 4: For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5: And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6: And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly.
7: And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

3. Our Trademark!

We’re so proud of our depravity that we mass market now. It’s what Canada is known for around the world. It’s our trademark! And, selling our depravity as entertainment is no longer limited to the seedy side of society, but is now readily available in primetime and on main street in almost every format and venue imaginable, as news, commentary, business, music, sports, politics, religion, retail, drama, documentary, gossip, cartoon, commercial, sitcom, standup, talk show, game show and reality TV. It’s on your big screen – it’s on your laptop – it’s on your radio – it’s on your CDs, DVDs, MP3s and in 3D. It’s on your cell phone and on your home phone – it’s in your mailbox and in your inbox.

4. It’s on Billboards

It’s on billboards, banners and in bathrooms – it’s in courtrooms, classrooms and chat rooms. It’s in print ads and in want ads – in pop ups and in previews – on t-shirts and tattoos and clothes you can see through. It’s in analog, digital, high def and blue ray – it’s in musicals and plays both on and off Broadway. It’s in videos, in bloopers, in trailers and in teasers to tempt everyone from grade-schoolers to geezers. It’s at the ballgame – it’s at the theater – it’s at the mall – it’s at the park – it’s on parade – it’s in concert in broad daylight and at dark. It’s in hotels and motels, in lodges and in bars – it’s right out your window and staring from cars. It’s in clubhouses, bathhouses, crack houses and church houses – where cursing and lewdness are met with roundhouses. It’s in studios, spas, salons and in parlors – at clinics and centers that take credit or dollars.

5. Shocking new Photos

It’s right on the shelves of your local library – your local Christian Bookstore. It’s in magazines and tabloids where customers tarry at the grocery, the bookstore, the drug store and quick mart – with shocking new photos and headlines of gossip. It’s at your kid’s school and in back of the bus – and hidden in lockers behind all their stuff. It’s studied at college in classes with teachers proclaiming their theories like humanist preachers.

6. It’s just Business

It’s just business – a living – a career move – an occupational hazard – a hobby – a pastime – a charity event – a good cause – a talent – a gift – a vice – an accident – an excuse – a diversion – a disease – a disorder – a journey – a ministry – a memoir – a book deal – a good deal – a way out of poverty and a means to an end – not to mention a basic human right. Sin has come a long way since the Garden of Eden, but its wages are still the same even though many would have us believe it’s all relevant in our evolutionary world – a sure sign of madness. And where is the church in all this? They’re right in the middle of it looking for market share with a designer Jesus.

1 John 2: 16: “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
2 Timothy 3: 1: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2: For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3: Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4: Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6: For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Micah 6: 8: He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
9: The LORD's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
10: Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?
11: Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?
12: For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
13: Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.”

7. The Point is This

Jesus had zero tolerance for liars and phonies Himself - and His language reflected that. In fact, His harshest words were always directed toward the devoutly disingenuous - religious rogues and professional pretenders who empowered and esteemed themselves by misleading the masses and keeping them in the dark and out of the Kingdom of God for the bounty and benefits of an earthy kingdom over which they, in some degree, reigned.

Jeremiah 48: 10: “Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully...”
Jeremiah 17: 9: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10: I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”

8. Synonymous with Coward.

Sadly, few Christians today would dare risk their ministry, career, finances, family or friendships, much less their lives, to tell the truth. In fact, I would go so far as to say pastors and preachers are among the worst. Of course many will talk among themselves about another errant clergy member, but typically in private and always off the record. It's like they were required to swear a secret oath back in the Cemetery to never challenge or criticize a fellow minister publicly for his erroneous teachings or shameful conduct. Instead of making our pulpits profound places of proclamation and poignancy, pastors hide behind them now in a perceived piety that makes the word “Christian” appear synonymous with “coward.”

Ephesians 4: 14: “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”

“Speaking the truth in love,” from (Ephesians 4: 15), means your remarks are fair and accurate with a dedicated desire to not only warn the unwary of danger and deception but also to see repentance and righteousness from its perpetrators. In spite of the disgraceful example being set by many of those pastoring churches today, love does not answer evil with false flattery and flowery fluff in hopes of being rewarded later with cooperation and camaraderie.

Proverbs 27: 6: “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”

Unfortunately, the church has been beguiled into believing that withholding the truth is “love,” which is why the vast majority of faith-based news agencies, magazines, articles and editorials, both in print and online, are much like today's seeker sermons - little more than cotton candy commentary designed to keep Christians congenially compliant to the corrupt collective by unseen hands that steer society's religious rudder toward a one world religion of peace and unity. The Beast is just around the corner; and today's church is headed right smack into his hands, thinking that he is Jesus Christ! NO! my loved ones, he’s the Antichrist, and all hell is about to break lose! On The Day of Judgment would you forgive me for not telling you the truth?

AMEN!
