O SABBATH REST

1. O Sabbath rest, thy merits shine-
Above the appointed days of men;
A welcome feast, a plan divine-
To strengthen, and restore again.

2. Hallowed and sweet, a rest indeed!
A haven for the weary heart:
O heavenly blessing, fill our need,
New grace and strength to us impart.

3. Our hearts revive, our thoughts renew,
Reveal to us the Father’s face;
Refresh us all life’s journey through,
Until in heaven we find a place.

4. Then shall we worship God, who blessed-
That hallowèd day for us below;
More fully “enter into rest,”
Its bliss enjoy, its Author know.

A Blessèd Seventh Day Sabbath to all believers.
In the Son’s Name - For the Father’s glory.
